EXIN @ Together HQ and Vermin Street Release

Vermin Street, the hyper progressive label well known for its residents Zebbler and Encanti, just dropped a two disc collection of future bass music! East Coast Bass is a massive digital compilation consisting of a wide range of bass styles/genres, including my own! The Exin track is on disc 1 along with work from Encanti, Steppo, Dice Motion, and other great artists. I do apologize to followers who have heard the track before, but fret not, a plethora of new music and projects exist and are on their way. In fact, below is an event that might just showcase some of this very material. East Coast Bass is available on Beatport now!

Unhearduv and Together Boston have invited me to come play at the new Together Headquarters located right in Central Square off of Mass Ave! On Thursday the 5th, from 5 PM to 6 PM I’ll be showcasing new material as well as plenty of slower downbeat projects I wouldn’t otherwise playout. So please swing by, bring a friend, support this awesome movement, and enjoy some fresh local sounds. Also if you can’t make it, Together will be streaming it live. The links are below.

Together Boston has invited me to come play at their new headquarters located right in Central Square off of Mass Ave! Also keep an eye out for a future bass compilation from a very prominent electronic label. Oh, and I’m going to begin spreading the rumor of an A/V show in what I hope to be the near future.

Aquarium Collection

Solid updates continue this month with the release of my new EP, Aquarium Collection. This one consists of 3 new tracks, and 3 remastered tracks. I’ve made it available for full-free download via Bandcamp in the wake of last Tuesaday’s show. Feeling well received at Music Ecology this week, I decided to put these tracks up sooner rather than later. The remastered tracks I included as a way of keeping my favorites up to date and on the radar. And speaking of staying on the radar…

Unhearduv.com just posted a very kind article about me and featured tracks from the new EP. Be sure to check that out here!
That is all. Thank you!

Quick update: Mix, show, projects…

Alright, well as usual I’ve got a couple of things to share. Firstly, I have a rather odd mix I made while preparing for a show I’m playing tomorrow night. It’s probably not for everyone, but if your looking for a unique 12 minute auditory environment this might be a good listen. It showcases a number of the sounds I’ve been recording recently, as well as some new synthesis techniques I’ve been trying out. It’s available on the EXIN SoundCloud page, and like always I really encourage downloading for quality sake. The link is here, or just click the cover art above.
The show I was preparing for is this Tuesday (Aug 9th) at the Wonder Bar in Allston, put on by Music Ecology. I believe you can catch me from 11 till midnight, after which Chorma Concept will take over. I’ll probably have some free swag to grab in the form of stickers so look out for those.
The last thing was already mentioned on Facebook, but not really explained. Vinyl and analog formats have long been an interesting and mind-blowing concept to me. About a month a back I started work on getting some tracks engraved into plastic. The entire process was a great learning experience, and something I’ve wanted to do since I started producing. While these pretty little LP’s arent commercially available, this project has opened the doors for that in the future! It’s also inspired me to seek out new ways of sharing my music beyond the boring old CD. More on that down the line though. For a closer look at the beautiful work Kim Gutzke did for me click the image to the left! The art and music were created by yours truly, but the Kim Gutzke took the two and created the final product that you see.

Well, thats all for now. Thanks for following along.

LAB Tracks: a benefit compilation for sasha shulgin

L.A.B. Tracks: a benefit compilation for Sasha Shulgin is 2 hour collection of music from 27 different multi-genre artists. The entire collection is available for digital purchase at the minimum price of 5$, and 100% of proceeds go directly to the Shulgins to help pay for the medical care Sasha is receiving around the clock. All The Lakes was chosen for the compilation, so I submitted a remastered version of it. Even if you did get the free version of my track when it was available, pay the 5 dollars, you’re supporting a man that remains a massive source of knowledge in his field, and you’ll be expanding your musical collection with a lot of great material!
Thats all for now, check back soon though for the full release of Fast Growing, Slow Moving! Also please remember none of the artists or organizers are making any money on this benefit for the Shulgins, so you can be sure your money is going directly to their aid.
